Tascam us-122 mkii driver mac lion

I was intending to use this to play midi backing tracks while I played my guitar through the unit. I couldn't get this working and I found an addendum provided by Tascam that states that this is in fact NOT possible. I also had trouble getting the unit to work at all. This was resolved after 3 days when I pinned the problem down to the driver supplied. Downloading a new driver from Tascam sorted this problem. Apart from these issues it does seem to be a really good unit. Sort by.

Apart from the driver itself and the related firmware, which I had to upgrade to the latest version corrected strange annoying clicks that could be heard with the supplied CD version , and Cubase LE5, no other kind of software is supplied. The driver interface is a simple info page with a drop-down menu for the desired latency 5 levels , a little too basic imho, the pro is that it's very light. Once installed on a Window 7 system, I only had to set it as the default output device.

After a while, though, a strange repetitive noise could be heard. The noise comes out sporadically and lasts between a few seconds and minutes.

Contacted the customer support, but they couldn't be precise regarding the origin of the problem, but I guess it's driver related. Cons: - Too minimal driver - Some driver issues. There was a problem loading the comments at the moment. Showing 0 comments.

TASCAM US-122 Problem

Sort by: Newest Oldest. Purchased one of these recently. LION will then recognised but at 32 bit for recording. Im using Pro Logic.

The input signal whilst useable is not very good. If you need more gain I would look at other products. However it is easy to use and does the job. Suggest you check with someone who really knows if you purchase an interface and have upgraded to LION. Hope this helps. Got this about a month ago. Works great with midi, Condenser Mics, Dynamic mics and Electric guitars.

Overall, It's amazingly easy to use and my PC detected the hardware right away. All I had to do was install the disc and I was off.

I would by again but I would prefer one of the newer version. Great piece of kit for the price. Verified Purchase. This outperforms the excellent 'Mackie XD-2 Spike' these days, because that great sadly, 'legacy' device has no software app drivers after Win XP - so you can't switch to the 96 kHz rate, in Win7, d'oh! The only packaging thing I would say being picky? I suppose the one other slight gripe is the lack of input overload LEDs for the two channels. It's difficult then to optimally set the input level for, say, a bass guitar without avoiding that clicky sort of digital over-ranging possibly what the bass drum pedal artifact was all about on 'Death Magnetic'?

For the sake of a couple of LEDs it's a bit of a shame. But D-to-A-wise it's fabulous! It's the best value at this end of the market.

Pete, for JSR. I bought this not knowing that much about it but hoping it would be a solution to getting midi and jacks into my pc. It does the job well and I am very pleased because it was easy to set up and got the signals in and back with no noticeable latency [delay] - It does however occasionally play up by what I can only describe as distorting the signal. This I must say is is very very rare but is rectified by just unplugging the USB plug from the appliance and then plugging it back in.

This has never not worked and is so small a problem that it's hardly worth mentioning. All in all I'm more than pleased particularly at this price. Delivery and packaging as always up ti Amazon's high standard.. One person found this helpful. Bought to record audio for video productions. Anyway a moan about ignorant musicians is not relevant here! I would agree with the "low knobs, no centre indent etc" of others but it is basically an excellent audio quality interface, easy to use and crucially for me, can drive condenser mics off the USB power.

Core Audio was a mess and only Tascam's proprietary driver worked without latency issues, though Core Audio was advertized as a working alternative. I never tried Core Audio again and currently use Originally Posted by Aymara. Furthermore I recommend using Reaper 64 Bit and 64bit plugins. Most 32bit plugins will be backward compatible in Reaper.

Last thing worth noting is, that a few systems have latency problems, when WiFi is switched on. So it's worth checking, if the Behringer's LAN mode makes any difference. Oh, and use the tip from the Behringer forum to check for CPU hogs, e. Show Printable Version. Email this Page. Linear Mode. Switch to Hybrid Mode.
